  • We moved the Song Circle to Wednesdays!
    To accomodate the new location for the monthly meetings, we are going to meet the first Wednesday of the month. Please pass the word!
     
  • Song Circle now meets at River Osborne Community Centre!
    We found a community centre with excellent bus service and a parking lot. All roads lead to Confusion Corner!
     
  • The Next Song Circle is on Wednesday, June 5, 2013, 7 PM
    at River Osborne Community Centre (ROCC) 101 Pembina Hwy.
     
    Remember to bring about 10 copies of your lyrics with your name, date and copyright symbol on them, a guitar (or other way of presenting your song) and a pen.

    NIGHTS OF ORIGINAL MUSIC! MISC and The Winnipeg Folk Festival partnering once again to bring the best of all that original songs and talented performers can deliver! Our next NIGHT OF ORIGINAL MUSIC is on Thursday, May 23, 2013 at THE FOLK EXCHANGE (211 Bannatyne)

    Come join us as we celebrate on that honoured stage again with a new season of shows - you will enjoy a great evening of original music! And remember.... MISC membership means that when we put out the call for performers, you can put your name in the hat to perform on that prestigious stage!

    And in the spirit of promoting and encouraging the community of songwriting, each Performance Evening ends with an open mic, open to everyone to present 2 ORIGINAL SONGS! This is a welcoming and intimate venue to be close to and connect with your audience! Be sure to invite out family and friends - they'll enjoy themselves!
