November 3 was a great song circle evening of welcoming back some familiar faces and meeting some brand new guests, as we test drove some brand new songs and shared constructive, encouraging feedback! A big buzz of the evening was about the MISC Workshop on Songwriting Collaboration happening November 17, being taught by the award-winning writing partnership of Harvey Levy and Ray Martin! And, of course, don`t miss the ANNUAL MISC PERFORMANCE EVENT coming November 27, 2008 at The Park Theatre! See the Events section of the website for details on these exciting events!!

After the summer break, this first return to the Yellow Dog on October 4 was a great performance night! Sean Hogan and Tim Braun co-hosted an exciting evening with some brand new MISC performers - Pat Sinnott and Karen Vandermeulen braved the Yellow Dog stage for the first time, and Peter Adams returned from some time away with great songs and great talent. A fantastic guest performance by the amazing Lindsey White of The Lindsey White Band was a brilliant addition to the evening!

The October 6 song circle was also filled with great new music! The first part of the evening saw a mini-workshop on Press Kits presented by Sean McManus of MANITOBA MUSIC! The presentation was very informative and valuable to everyone, whether updating existing press kit material, or planning how to create a first one! It was especially timely as MISC members prepare the press kits and demo material needed to submit as application to perform at the ANNUAL MISC PERFORMANCE EVENT coming November 27, 2008! Be sure to mark that date on your calendar! No matter what side of the guitar you'll be on - whether performing or applauding - you won't want to miss that evening!
