Two full-house circles overflowing with amazing music and encouraging feedback!
We packed out The Folk Exchange with our Performance Night in November, and we welcomed in the Festive Season with a fun
Christmas circle and celebration!

What an amazing fall we're having! The September song circle was full to overflowing - both with friendly people and outstanding
music! Despite the sad news of Aqua Books facing some hard decisions and uncertain future, we are still enjoying
their unique hospitality and will be there for the October song circle. Owner, Kelly Hughes and Aqua Books are working on some
plans, and as those come together, they'll let us know! Watch our website for information!
The September 22 performance night at The Folk Exchange kicked off the new season with an incredible display of talent! The Folk Exchange
was friendly and full... an eager audience was generous in their enthusiasm and applause for the deserving MISC performers.
The talented Dan Silas hosted the evening and led the great line up of Shawn Tester, Pd Moore, Scott McPherson, Jeff Fischer, Jelly B
and The Kmart Shoppers and Marcel Desilets! Each one represented MISC with such passion and excellence and left everyone
wanting more! Many many THANKS to everyone who helped pull it together... Stewart McEwen and Chris Freeman for sound duties,
VP in charge of Food - Karen Hammarstrand, for feeding us, and to the terrific volunteers at The Folk Exchange for taking such good care of us!
In celebration of MISC`s 10 Anniversary, plans are underway for some exciting events - workshops and performance opportunities,
so watch for more details to come! And if you have some great ideas for events, please email them our way!!
Our next Song Circle is on Tuesday, Oct 4, 2011! What will you sing and who will you bring?!

Great circles continued right through the summer at Aqua Books and, as usual, our members were very busy around the province
both performing and volunteering - both on stage and behind the stage! There's always such great stories from those adventures...
and everyone knows great stories inspire
great songs!

We sang Spring in with some amazing songs at great circles at Aqua Books in April and May! Our May Performance Night at The Folk Exchange
was a great success with a stage full to overflowing with incredibly talented performers, and a terrific turnout for the Open Mic!! Our next
Performance Night will be in September, so stay tuned for details!

A great circle at Aqua Books and a very successful Co-writing Workshop hosted by co-writers Chris Freeman and Harvey Levy filled the month
and kept us busy planning, writing, and planning for writing! A fantastic session!!
